Google will offer translated opinions of restaurants and points of interest

Whether we usually travel regularly to other countries in the world, or if we make a one-time trip, one of the first things we usually do is look for restaurants, preferably traditional food, where we can eat and dine, not only out of logical necessity but as part of our tourist activity, that "gastronomy tourism" as many call it.

For this, our smartphone and Google are two incredible tools, since it allows us to search for restaurants and, in addition, observe the opinions of other users, something that will help us in our decision. However, it is also common that we do not understand these comments because they are not in our language. But Google has announced that it will solve that problem by providing reviews of restaurants and points of interest translated both in Google Maps and in its main app.

As the company itself has reported through a post on his official blog, language will no longer be a problem for all those users who travel to foreign countries and who wish to consult the reviews that other users have left on Google Maps about the restaurants and other points of interest they have visited.

This new feature will show the opinion or review translated into the user's local language at the top of the device screen, while the original version will appear at the bottom, as we can see in the image that illustrates this news above.

Thanks to this new option, the need to copy the text of these opinions and paste it into Google Translate or any other application or translation service in order to understand it will disappear.

Although it is a small novelty added to Google services, it will undoubtedly be huge utility, especially for those people who, either for work reasons or for personal reasons, travel a lot around the world. But it will also help us to find out what other citizens thought about restaurants that we have closer to home.
