Google has been fighting malicious apps for quite some time that are coming to the Play Store. The company's engineers have been working for a long time on Google Play Protect, one of the systems that currently monitors if it is harmful to users' devices.
A clear example Wiseplay has lived it, a player that has numerous downloads after being added to the store of the popular Android operating system. The software compromised the privacy of any of the phones that had it installed by granting permissions on installation.
Play Protect if it finds any strange behavior of any app eliminates it by not complying with the rules which are very clear. All those who had it installed have received a message notifying the uninstallation when they see their "compromised" data, something that some companies take advantage of.
Wiseplay asked for many permissions
Being a versatile player, it is normal for it to ask us for access to the storage, another thing is to request access to the phone book, calls, the phone and also the camera. In most of the occasions we give the following without reading and this is a serious error.
Wiseplay on the other hand invaded us with invasive advertising, one of these ads mimicked a mobile device with sounds and vibration. With this, the application wanted the clients of the software to click on this banner and access an unsafe page.
One recommendation is to get to know the permissions of applications downloaded on our smartphone, something normal if we want to keep our information safe, as well as our confidential data. If we want to know the use of application permissions, go to Settings - Applications or Application Manager - Select the Application and scroll down to the Permissions Section.
