Google Play Music will soon have voice controls

Google Play Music

One of the most striking latest news for Google Play Music have been the podcasts. Even though they were announced late last year, It was not so many days ago that this great initiative has arrived to have the favorite podcasts from another musical platform such as the one that Google owns

But not everything will stay here for a Google Play Music that needs a little more affection the one you've been getting lately. One of those very interesting faculties that this music service will integrate will be the voice controls within the app so that we do not even have to touch the screen of the smartphone to manage all the music that it can launch.

The reality is that it would be quite interesting to be able to control this app in this way while you have headphones connected yourself and you just have to say the respective voice commands to pause, play or go to another song without wasting more time than going to the terminal.

This new option has been found by XDA user known as Maxr1998. This one found a new microphone icon which can be seen with certain tricks, but what happens is that the button does not really do anything. Maxr1998 explored the depths of the system a bit and found that the button connects to certain services that have not been activated yet.

He claims that once the services are active, these would allow voice controls in the Play Music app. The theory is that the functions would be similar to the voice controls of play, pause and go to another song that already exist in Google Now.

The only option for these voice controls would be while the headphones are connected so you don't even have to turn on the screen, we will have to see the functionality that Google contributes to surprise us a little.
