Google Photos gets a new logo, a simpler design and a map view

Google Photos

Three in one for the new update to Google Photos and that anchors us in a new logo, a simpler design at a general level and that map view that we already announced days ago.

A series of new features to improve the Google Photos experience and even make it more modern and enjoyable. What stands out a lot is the new logo that goes from those pointy corners to a more rounded look with curves in each of the 4 elements that make up the logo design.

Un new logo to reflect this change in the design of the app which makes it easier to navigate through all its sections. Curves express perfectly that roundness and "ease" when it comes to handling the app and that is very welcome; Whenever it is to improve the user experience, we are there.

Heat map in Google Photos

It is in iOS where the new update has arrived first so that we will have it on Android in no time. The app now has a "cleaner" air and emphasizes direct access to embedded messenger within the app.

In the new version of Android you can find 3 tabs: Photos, Search and Library. The photos tab is characterized by larger thumbnails, less space in the photos, and a larger row of "memories".

It is in the Search tab where we can find the Map View and that has been one of the most demanded by the Google Photos user community. We can zoom in on the map to see where the photos were taken. One of the highlights of this feature is the "heat map" to show where all your photos are located.

In the library tab we have the rest of the features of Google Photos where you will see the Albums, Favorites, Trash, Files and more. A big update for google photos that you shouldn't be taking too long to receive.
