Google Maps has been updated to improve the discovery of those places to which we can approach if we need a good or a service. We are talking about hotels, parks and other types of establishments that join those that Maps already taught us by default.
We are talking about a window that appears just when we are in a certain place and that shows us in various icons what would be certain categories such as restaurants, cafes or attractions. Let's see what this new update brings us.
Actually the novelty is one more series of shortcuts that allow us to know hotels, parks and many others. Until today we had 4 icons in the explore tab, so that now they become up to 8.
I mean, what are 7 shortcuts to different categories of establishments and an extra button to access the rest that Google Maps offers. The clearest are the hotels and parks, so when you are located in a specific place and go to the nearby tab, you will see these new icons in different colors.
A new experience that is generated from the browse tab and that, although we can always use the search to find a specific establishment, now we will have new shortcuts with which to reach new sites.
Another one of those novelties that may go unnoticed by the vast majority, but that add an extra extra to one of the best applications that we have on our Android phones; either to report traffic jams, put a departure or arrival time to arrive right to a meeting, or use the dark theme so that our mobile not be a flashlight when we use navigation in our car.
