Samsung Galaxy Note 9

Samsung is releasing an update again. This comes as One UI 2.5 and, after already being present on mobiles like The Galaxy S20 and the last of Galaxy Note 20 series, among others, now it comes to the legendary Galaxy Note 9 of 2018.

As expected, this new firmware package comes with major improvements for these phones, being the last that Samsung has launched and that is currently dispersing in an initial stage for the Galaxy Note 9, without being all the units that receive it, but that soon will, and globally, of course.

One UI 2.5 comes to the Galaxy Note 9 via OTA

For now, The newly released One UI 2.5 update is being offered in Germany for the Galaxy Note 9. Therefore, the update has not yet set foot on other territories in Europe and the world, although it should do so in the coming days, in the event that at the time of publication of this article or shortly thereafter it has.

The firmware carries the build number N960FXXU6FTJ3M. What's more, brings wireless DeX, new camera modes like Single Take, variable resolution and frame rate in Pro video mode. There is also a new horizontal split screen option in the Samsung keyboard app and a new SOS message feature that lets you send messages in 30 minute intervals for up to 24 hours.

Of course, there are security enhancements that are implemented with this OTA, in addition to various optimizations, improvements to the stability of the system in general and other small changes that improve the user experience, which is typical of this type of updates.

This will be probably the last major update for the Galaxy Note 9, although it will continue to receive monthly security patches for the next year, according to the promise of the South Korean manufacturer.
