From Oppo they claim that the cameras under the screen have a long way to go

Oppo with camera under screen

A few weeks ago we published an article in which we showed you how the technology of under-screen cameras was advancing, a technology that finally it will allow us to get rid of holes in the screen, notch, periscopes and other alternatives that manufacturers offer us so that the front is all screen.

In that article, we show you a video from the manufacturer Oppo, as well as another from Xiaomi, in which you could see the operation of the camera. However, the result of the capture was not shown, a capture whose quality at the moment is still far from what we can consider as acceptable.

The company claims that at the moment this technology has a long journey ahead, and despite the fact that the manufacturer is already working on it, the technology currently available still does not allow us to offer the minimum acceptable quality to be able to integrate a camera under the screen.

If some companies had not risked launching technology that was not yet fully developed, it is more than likely that we would not have gotten to the point where we are today. Thanks to those brave ones, other companies have learned from those mistakes and have managed to launch that same improved technology.

At the moment, it does not seem that Oppo intends to take a risk and launch this technology, which it claims is still halfway there. According to the vice president of Oppo, they prefer to wait until to be able to offer an acceptable quality, although this is not the first to launch it on the market, so it is likely that we will still have to wait another year or two.

Moment Oppo and Huawei are the only companies that have shown the status of this technology, but it does not mean that they are the only ones working on it. Both companies have always liked to show off their advances in this field, quite the opposite of Apple, Samsung and Huawei.
