Xiaomi and Oppo show us how the front camera works under the screen [Video]

OnePlus 7 Pro screen

In recent years, we have seen the world of telephony move towards a terminal whose front is all screen. Currently, we have mobile phones on the market with notch (iPhone), islands (Galaxy S10), water drops (Huawei P30) and retractable cameras (OnePlus 7 Pro) that appear when we need them.

The next step to the movement that OnePlus has made, and that Vibo previously did, is hide the camera completely under the screen, a movement that we can see is well advanced, according to the tweets recently published by both Oppo and Xiaomi.

The integrated camera under the screen is the most elegant solution and that sooner or later will reach all terminals, it will be the moment when will start another race to see who is the first in… We'll see what the next retro will be.

Oppo Vice President Brian Shen has admitted that this technology still has a long way to go before being implemented in the manufacturer's devices. As stated:

At this stage, it is difficult for the cameras below the screen to offer us the same results as normal cameras, since we will always find a loss of quality. No technology is born perfect.

We do not have details of how and when are we going to be able to find this technology in smartphones, but everything seems to indicate that the first models to implement it could be Oppo and Xiaomi terminals. Although it is also more than likely that both Samsung, Apple and Huawei are also working in this regard.

If we want to see how this technology evolves, for now we will have to wait, hopefully not long. That if, most likely the cost of implementing the camera below the screen, at least in the first models, increase the price the same.
