The idea of Facebook is that Messenger is capable of be a totally independent app and for this reason they have been ensuring that, apart from being able to be used by all that user base that owns the social network, even those who do not want to be present in it, are able to be in contact with their relatives and contacts.
Now Facebook Messenger is testing a new feature that add an "Add contact" button to the messaging app eventually. Like another series of functionalities that they are testing, only a selected number of users have been lucky enough to have this new button that would serve in the same way as in other messaging apps.
Facebook has confirmed that it is testing this new button with a certain group of users you are able to add contacts to your Messenger in a simple way. We already have this option to send messages to other people if they are not friends on Facebook, although with the request message, sometimes, they do not see it and it is buried among all those messages in their inbox.
The "Add Contact" button will work as with other messaging apps that allows you to add contacts through their number or username. If that person is on Facebook, will not need to be added to the Facebook friends list. An important feature for those who want to stay apart from the social network and messaging well separated in order to add contacts in a simple way.
An app that has more than 1.000 million users under its belt and is getting more and more people to use it. Surely this new button the number of downloads will increase.
