The last time we had a rogue-like dungeon crawler in these parts was the great Heroes of Loot 2 from Orange Pixel, which has proven to be one of the best in its category. Some roguelike games that usually use retro graphics and pixel art to take us to those dungeons in which we will find all kinds of enemies and objects. Roguelike is a term that identifies the video game that only offers a life to the player so that he, at the moment he consumes it, has to go back from the beginning losing all the objects, armor and exploration that he has made up to the moment of his death. A type of game that has its fans and its detractors but who take us to frenetic games with a lot of adrenaline.
Like the one you will find in Dead Shell, a new roguelike RPG released by Herocraft which has quite a unique gameplay for what we are used to on Android. So for this reason we can place him in a very special place so that he makes us have a great time with that special way of treating what a roguelike is. In Dead Shell we do not see the character as such, but we will see the dungeons as they will open before us as we kill enemies and collect their loot. This is one of its best qualities and it adds something different that is spiced up by a great quality in everything technical, although yes, it does have some bug than another.
A roguelike that catches
Herocraft has released a new roguelike RPG on Android called Dead Shell. The history puts us before a very strange planet and which has been called as DOOM-4, so it does not sound quite right to face the rare creatures that populate those dungeons of that planet.
We will have to command a squad of soldiers who are on their way to the guard post on this planet. You will have to carry a good repertoire of weapons and other types of items that are needed by the residents in order to survive. Just as there are scientists, guards, miners, and other citizens on the job, there are also a wide variety of enemies that we will have to deal with. The objective is eliminate all evil creatures of this planet so that the residents can live on this strange planet.
A special gameplay
As I said, Dead Shell has a special gameplay when presented in turns, but in which we will enter into combat by pressing twice on some of the enemies that will appear as we explore the rooms. There the first-person combat will enter with the skills to use that we can use as fast as we want. In that give and take, we will lose health so we will have to find some way to recover it. As we explore we can find special rooms that will give health while in dead enemies we can get all kinds of loot.
The exploration is very important, since in these levels we can find all kinds of objects. And being roguelike, each game will change the layout of the dungeons and enemies, so it will be quite difficult for you to come across the same mapping.
A video game found for free and in Spanish with micropayments in the Play Store and that has a wide variety of beasts, all kinds of weapons, elite mercenaries and the ability to level up your combat squad.
Technical quality
Dead shell very pleasantly surprised for all the elements it has and its retro pixel visual style gives it a very successful look. Its gameplay is different, so it may take a while to get hold of it, but then you will get the taste and surely you will discover a game before you. Highly recommended and raises the bar for this type of RPG roguelike games.

Why do your game reviews NEVER put cons?
I don't believe that all the games you analyze are perfect?
There are some analyzes in which I do put negative aspects, which happens that among all the games that are released weekly to Android, which are many, I usually select the best. These usually arrive with hardly any flaws, so sometimes it is difficult to comment on a negative point, but of course they do.
If it were like on PC that releases are counted every week, we would have to review games that are not so good and that are easier to find errors or aspects that could be improved.
