The process to create a group in the most downloaded instant messaging app of all consists of a few very simple steps, which will surely be very easy to do.
How to create a group on WhatsApp
- First we must enter the application.
- Once in it, in the first interface that appears, which is that of Cat, we give it in the menu that is located in the upper right corner, which has three vertically aligned points and is located next to the search engine. We will notice that the menu options are displayed.
- Then we select the first option, which says New group. That is where we will give you to create it. This also appears in Contacts, which is the message logo that is positioned in the lower right corner of Cat.
- To add members to the new group that we are going to create, we have to select them. We can choose between one (1) and two hundred fifty-six (256) people.
- Once the members for the group have been selected, we click on the green logo in the lower right corner to continue.
- Then we have to assign a photo or icon to the group (optional), as well as a subject or name in which we describe it. Example: «Community Androidsis».
- After this, we finish the creation of the group by giving it in the logo check.
- Once the process is finished, the new group will appear in the chat list under the name that we have placed for it.
Edit group settings
If we create a group, we will automatically be its administrators. This allows us to add and remove whoever we want. What's more, to be admin of a group allows us to edit its settings, a privilege that we can also share with other administrators, as long as we grant the title to another or other members.
Being an administrator, we can customize who can change group information, as well as who can send messages. For this we will have two options: All participants y Administrators only. We can also change the description and image of the group. We edit all this through the Group info.
For access the Group infoWe just have to select the group and enter the drop-down menu, which is associated with the three vertically aligned points that appear in the upper right corner. We can also enter it through the group's internal chat, just in the same menu and carry out the same instructions, or simply by selecting the group's name in the internal chat.
On the other hand, if we wish mute group notifications, we can do it by selecting the option that responds to this same name in the drop-down menu of the three vertically aligned points in the internal chat of the same. At the same time, outside of this, once selected, we click on the logo of the cornet in silence to perform this same action. We may silence notifications for eight (8) hours, one (1) week, or one (1) year.
As well we can anchor it first in the list of chats in the option Anchor, which is associated with a pin and that appears in the options that are located at the top of the first interface of the app if we select the group. It should be noted that we can do this with one or more groups, as well as with chats.
Invite people to join the group using a link
WhatsApp allows us to invite people to the group through a link. We will find this in the Group info, although we can only obtain it if we are administrators of the group, or if the, or administrators do not pass them. With this we will not have to have those people we want to invite in our contact list.
Leave the group and delete it
Naturally, We will always have the option to leave the group if we want to, for whatever reason. We will do this by going to the Group info, in which we will give you in Leave group to no longer be in it. At the same time, we can report it if the content published in it is improper and unseemly by giving it in Report group.
