Real-time comments can now be moderated on Periscope

Periscope moderation chat

Letting hundreds of users jump into your streaming in real time through chat, means that a few are given the opportunity to use those messages to spam or typical abuses that we all know. It was a matter of time before Periscope included one of the features it has launched in its app.

Twitter has introduced a new tool for Periscope that comes to fight spam and the inappropriate behavior of users who use this great app for streaming. The comment moderation tool will allow users to be able to report and vote on messages that they consider spam or abuse of the rules.

Users can access the tool when clicking on a comment in a live broadcast. As in other apps, they can report a comment as spam, abuse or other reasons such as the comment in another language. The viewer reporting the comment will no longer see that user's messages for the rest of the streaming in real time.

When a comment is reported, a few users will be randomly selected to vote on whether they think the comment is spam, abuse, or other options. The result of the vote will be shown to the voters. Yes the majority vote that the comment is spam or abuse, the user will be notified that their ability to chat on the broadcast has been temporarily disabled.

Constant offenses will result in the chat being disabled for the user. This new option for comment moderation is optional and users may not want to participate; Those who retransmit a stream will be able to choose whether the comments can be moderated, while viewers can deactivate the voting system from settings.

Una capacity required for a service in which the experience is tarnished by users who tend to launch spam or abuse of all kinds. Periscope also seems to have put the batteries, after receiving six days ago the option for the automatic saving of broadcasts.

The app was not found in the store. 🙁
