Periscope dared to compete against Meerkat to be the clear winner in that fight for streaming of video in real time that disappeared, as happens with those Snapchat images that self-destruct at a specific time and personalized by the user.
It was something striking to capture the moment of streaming as it happens with Snapchat images. The ephemeral thing of being able to live it in the moment and then be able to tell it to friends or colleagues. But this will no longer be the case from today, as Persicope has announced that an update is released that allows saving automatic emissions.
So that the ephemeral passes to a better life to be able to reproduce the live broadcasts that we make through this app called Periscope as many times as we want. In this fight against Facebook Live, the app owned by Twitter, it has launched this feature so as not to be left behind. Curious is that two days ago we announced the 24-hour streaming option on Facebook Live.
Previously, all the streams we did in real time would disappear within 24 hours after it was finished. But, for over a month or so, Periscope has been testing this feature that would store streams on your account permanently, although the #save hashtag would have to be included for it to work properly.
Anyway, Periscope lets you decide if you want this feature active default. From the options available in the Periscope settings you can find the parameter to adjust how much and when you want the broadcasts you record with the application to be recorded.
A very interesting novelty and that is motivated so that professionals of the sector launch themselves into this service and by the competition that Facebook Live is causing with its service linked to the social network.
