Just yesterday we were doing the review of the fabulous Wizard Legend, based on Archero, to bring you today Catopia: Rush, another rogue-like with very similar action and that shows us how well the second one has impacted on the Play Store to inspire many players and developers.
This new title published by Supercolony It comes with similar elements, although it has the peculiarity that we will be able to take with us some very catlike companions who will be in charge of the melee attack. Apart from the fact that we will not have another of the essentials of this type of games based on Archero.
Catman, rogue-like and with many enemies on screen
Catopia: Rush takes us to a world of cats where we control the attacker from a distance either with his magic or with his bow. We have to go through levels to face a great variety of enemies that will hide behind walls and that will be waiting for us to go ahead to attack us.
At first has many similarities to the great Archero and what is the source of inspiration for games like the one that arrived yesterday or many others that have been through these lines as dashero (and yes they also copy him in the name).
The big difference from Catopia: Rush is the peculiarity of carrying a group of armed cats that are handled automatically except the one we control. This group of armed colleagues also have their panel of improvements so that we progress through those levels that seem infinite.
Large number of enemies on screen in Catopia: Rush
And the truth is that at first It has surprised us, and look that we are a little tired of some clones that are released from the Google Play Store. And what has surprised us, has also kept us cautious, since from the first level a good number of enemies, projectiles and colleagues are generated on the screen.
That is that spectacularity of avoiding dozens of projectiles has been sought while we take the protagonist to an area where he cannot be harmed. We say this because if the ability to generate those moments of many elements on the screen is progressive, we do not even want to think about what will happen when we reach higher levels.
Hopefully it's well optimized though at some point there have been slowdowns; understanding that it is in the beta phase we do not have to worry, but we should be vigilant.
Even create your own villa
And another quirk of Catopia: Rush that takes him away from Archero is the be able to create your own villa to recruit your colleagues to collect materials and help you upgrade your companion heroes. In general terms Catopia: Rush has worked to avoid being a simple clone, and this is to be commended. In other words, it has improved what we already had with Archero.
Visually it is tremendously attractive and has curious details like the speed that our sorcerer kitty takes when we press and hold the movement stick towards one direction. The enemies are varied, the tactics not so original, but visually they are very effective and also highlight the number of objects on the screen; now it will be seen at higher levels that such performance is going.
If yesterday you liked Wizard Legends and want more, maybe you have to value this Catopia: Rush and decide Which one to keep after reaching very high levels in Archero. Free as freemium that we forget (go ...).
Editor's opinion
A rogue-like action very catty similar to Archero, but with its differences. To prove without any doubt.
