Apple has revealed its latest financial results and one of the categories that more has grown in income are services, among which you can enter Apple Music and many others. An indicator that it cannot close on itself so that its most important apps, such as the one mentioned or, iMessage itself, it is very good for them to extend their borders so that they can be used on Android.
If already in the Apple keynote there were rumors about the appearance of iMessage for Android, now we return to the same path when we know that we would not be far from this app definitively disembark in the Google OS for mobile devices. The rumor carries with it that Apple would be testing a version of iMessage for Android.
It is said that there iMessage mockups for Android that have circulated through the company, as John Gruber of Daring Fireball says. It even suggests that there are a variety of UI styles in testing right now, including Material Design. It is not something entirely new, as Apple has released Android apps with Material Design before, just like Apple Music.
If Apple releases iMessage for Android, it is sending a clear message to Google. Or at least to all the Googlers and Android fans who suggest that iMessage is the only app that is a must have from Apple. The interest is also typical of Apple, since iMessage on Android would raise the income it collects from one of its best services, so closing itself in a single OS, in these times that touch, would be a mistake that would allow others take the market share that currently belongs to the Apple app.
It is also the best time to launch this app, since there are not a few that are available in the Google Play Store, and even several from the same company, such as WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger. Google now also has Allo and Hangouts, so it is not at all crazy to think that Apple should take the same course.
