What will NOKIA's return look like?

Nokia is back

It seems that finally Nokia's return to the smartphone market is imminent. Something that many of us await with great anticipation. It also seems clear that it will, how could it be otherwise, hand in hand with Android. For the most nostalgic, Nokia will always have a place in our hearts.

It is very likely that if you are in your late twenties or early thirties you have had a Nokia as a phone. Not many years ago the Finnish firm was the world benchmark in the world of mobile phones. And it had an incessant factory that did not stop producing devices that delighted users.

Will Nokia aspire to return to the throne of telephony?

When the so-called smart phones invaded the market, Nokia suffered a crisis that they never imagined. The entry of new manufacturers, including Apple, to this world dealt a near fatal blow to the mythical company. And the new concept of telephone that came through the first iPhone knocked Nokia out of the game. In spite of everything, it has barely managed to survive almost two decades of constant bumps.

Nokia, aware in recent years of its position, made few attempts to compete with those above. Settling for survive at the expense of a less demanding audience. And taking as my own a market with an age range above the average has continued to make basic phones. From the hand of Microsoft it has also tried on occasions to get a hole. But windows phone system never quite fit.

Now it seems that once and for all Nokia will bet firmly for a place in the privileged cusp of the smartphone. Something that is becoming more and more complicated due to the immense competition coming from all over the world. The number of manufacturers cramming the market does not seem like the ideal setting for a launch, but at Nokia they have decided now or never.

Will we finally have Nokia for this Christmas?

Although as announced from the renewed Nokia we would see new devices at the end of this year. The truth is that for the moment we are still waiting to know news. We are still attentive to a possible announcement from the company itself with launch dates. And above all we hope to finally see a catalog of Nokia models.

It seems very likely that the expected re-debut of Nokia will have to wait for 2017. Since as announced from the company itself filing could be delayed until the first quarter of next year. Although they already have the design and prototypes fully ready, this it would be due to different tests and quality controls that the firm wants to carry out before "going out on the street." Which is very welcome if we remember recent incidents with other brands.

The point is that from Nokia they claim to be also working on some models of tablets. Therefore, they will not focus exclusively on the design of new smartphones, they will go one step further. And that makes us happy. Therefore we hope at least a couple of smartphone models and as many tablets. All of them will have Android.

A renewed Nokia to offer us new terminals.

Nokia Headquarters

It remains to be seen whether Nokia would impose some kind of personalization layer of its own on its devices. Or on the contrary, I would choose as other brands do to offer us pure Android. For tastes as always there is everything, but many of us agree that the shallower the personalization layer, the better the end user experience.

At the moment there are several leaks of possible models, including the software and features they will include. From Androidsis We are looking forward to trying these new models to tell you how they go. And although of the Finnish Nokia that made history is little more than the name, we will still like to see how they turn out in the market.

These new terminals will feature a design made in Finland. But as expected manufacturing and assembly is taking place in China. This manufacturing is carried out by a subsidiary of the well-known Foxcom, so the final product will surely reach the desired quality standards.

HMD, a company created exclusively for the re-launch of Nokia, will be responsible for bringing the Finnish brand back into business. And it has some of the former executives of the company that succeeded in the first stage of mobile phones, before the arrival of smartphones. Expectations are high and we look forward to seeing Nokia as one of our best brands soon.
