The Snapdragon 700 series is Qualcomm's upper midrange line of chips. This includes the 710nm Snapdragon 712 and Snapdragon 10 SoCs, as well as the 730nm Snapdragon 730 and Snapdragon 8G processors.
This time around, we are talking about an upcoming mobile platform, as a new leak revealed that Qualcomm is developing a 7nm chipset that will be commercially known as Snapdragon 735.
According to the leak, the Snapdragon 735 will be a 7nm chipset like the Snapdragon 855, which means that the energy efficiency will be higher than that of the 730nm Snapdragon 8 duo.

The SDM735 itself will be an octa-core processor with a 1 + 1 + 6 CPU cluster. It will have an unspecified core from the Kryo 400 series clocked at 2.9 GHz along with another Kryo 400 series clocked at 2.4 GHz and six Kryo 400 series clocked at 1.8 GHz.
The mobile platform will have a Adreno 620 GPU clocked at 750 MHz with support for QHD displays (3360 X 1440) with a wide color gamut and HDR10 / HDR10 +. The SoC will also support up to 16GB of LPDDR4X RAM.
Qualcomm's Snapdragon 735 will also have a Spectra 350 ISP, like the Snapdragon 730, which supports up to 32 MP @ 30fps ZSL. In turn, it carries a new NPU 220 for AI tasks with a speed of 1 GHz.
The processor will not only be a 7nm chipset like the Snapdragon 855, but it will also have a built-in 5G modem, which means mid-range 5G phones are on the way. It will also be compatible with UFS 2.1, eMMC 5.1 and USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C memories.
No word on when the chipset will be announcedBut it could be released this year and start showing up on devices in 2020.
