It may seem impossible to many people in 2019, but recently India's Gujarat state banned the famous combat game PUBG Mobile, so people in this state can face legal trouble for playing it on their phone.
As a recent consequence, 16 students were arrested by state authorities in recent days, although without major consequences. We expand you!
The reason behind the ban is the impact of the game on the behavior, conduct and language of the players. Even though there are other Battle Royale games more used in the region than this one, such as Fortnite and Apex Legends, the ban only affects PUBG Mobile, which saddens more than one fan of it who lives there. Despite the restriction, 10 university students decided to continue playing and, according to the newspaper Indian Express, they were all arrested for doing this. They were caught playing the famous battle royal one week after the ban in Gujarat. Fortunately, all of them were released on bail. According to a state police officer, the game was so addictive that the accused students didn't even notice their team approaching them, and that's how they were caught doing the illegal thing.
That is not the only arrest in recent days. After those ten students, six more students between the ages of 18 and 22 were arrested Thursday for playing PUBG Mobile. They were released on bail just like the others.
Based on other news, a few days ago the game beta 0.115 with several novelties. Before that, PUBG Mobile was also updated with the Resident Evil zombie mode and more. (Related: We tested the spectacular zombie mode of Resident Evil in PUBG Mobile)
