The idea of folding phones is not exactly new, but device manufacturers have not yet managed to create such a smartphone.
The smartphone market still has room for several important innovations, but this does not mean that all manufacturers will leave these innovations for later. Specifically, ZTE could mark a major change in the market.
The guys from Android Authority got exclusive information about the appearance of a folding mobile with two screens. The ZTE Axon M is known for now under the codename Axon Multy and could be publicly presented next October 17.
The new smartphone arrives with two Full HD screens, which can be opened to create a display of 6.8 inches with 2.160 x 1.080 pixels diagonal. When folded, the mobile works like any other smartphone, in addition to having a very slim profile.
The ZTE Axon M could mark the moment when smartphones become authentic alternatives to PCs or laptops. Multitasking is not yet ideal for mobile phones, but with a foldable device things could change.
As smartphones with large screens became more popular, tablets with small screens became irrelevant, and the Axon M could create a bridge between tablets and smartphones, with two screens instead of one.
The two screens could show, in total, four apps simultaneously, offering you the possibility of having greater productivity.
ZTE representatives have already said that they are going to hold a press event next month in New York, and the Axon M could be the star of this presentation.
The new LG V30, Galaxy Note 8 and iPhone X bring different innovations, but ZTE has a good chance of bringing to market something much more intriguing for users.
