Several Xiaomi and Redmi smartphone models have already been enjoying MIUI 11 for several days. A couple of examples of these are the Redmi K20 and Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, which already have this new layer of customization in China.
Globally, this new interface has not yet been launched for any model, and even less in a stable way. But it is only a matter of days or a few weeks before we are receiving news that some devices are already welcoming it. The terminal that is now added as a MIUI 11 receiver is the Xiaomi Mi CC9, and we talk about this in this new opportunity.
Many are the users of the Mi CC9 in China who have documented that their mobiles have begun to receive the respective OTA update that brings with it the stable version of MIUI 11.3.1.0. The update package weighs 728 MB, so it is recommended that the update be done over a Wi-Fi connection.
We couldn't verify from the changelog (in Chinese) if this new update is based on Android 9 Pie or 10. However, considering the Mi CC9's mid-range premium rating, we want to believe that it is based on Android 10.
Firmware package should cross Chinese borders and move overseas soon, but for now we can only continue waiting for it, both for this terminal in other countries and for other models.
The Mi CC9 has a 6.39-inch Super AMOLED screen with FullHD + resolution of 2,340 x 1,080 pixels, a Snapdragon 665 processor, 6/8 GB of RAM, 64/128/256 GB of storage space and a 4,030 mAh battery of capacity with support for fast charging of 18 watts. It also has a triple 48 MP + 8 MP + 2 MP rear camera and a 32 MP front shooter.
