Xiaomi Mi Band 5: design and features
At the aesthetic level we find a model that is very reminiscent of the Mi Band 4, but we have some very interesting news. To begin with, the Xiaomi Mi Band 5 screen It is now 1.20 inches, to offer a larger OLED panel.
The other great novelty in terms of design, makes the functionality of the Xiaomi Mi Band 5 significantly improve. And, finally, the Asian firm has listened to the complaints of users, incorporating a new magnetic charging system reminiscent of the Apple Watch.

More sports than ever
Under the hood we do find some very interesting news. To begin with, the manufacturer has improved the sensors, so that the precision when monitoring any physical activity is now much more precise. Yes, we have a heart rate monitor 24 hours a day, in addition to being able to identify 11 different sports, a great improvement over the 6 that the previous model supported.
On the other hand, now we will have animated spheres, with well-known characters such as Detective Conan or SpongeBob, in addition to a mode that allows you to monitor the menstrual cycle. And what about the NFC? Well, it seems that we have two versions again, one with this chip to make contactless payments, and a second version without this element.
On the other hand, it is confirmed that the Xiaomi Mi Band 5 is compatible with Xiao AI. When it arrives in Europe will it work with Alexa? At the moment it is a complete mystery. Regarding the price and launch date, in China it will be available on June 18 at a price of 189 yuan, about 23 euros, for the model without NFC, and 229 yuan, about 28 euros, for the model with NFC. And in Spain? Most likely, the model will arrive again without this chip, and it will land at a price that will be around 35 or 40 euros.
