Fourth attempt: Xiaomi again launches Android 10 for the Mi A3

Xiaomi Mi A3

Xiaomi is already on its fourth attempt at the Android 10 update on the Mi A3. The Chinese manufacturer first launched the OTA for the device at the end of February, but, since then, it has manifested various malfunctions in some units.

Apparently at the moment the device is getting its fourth firmware package with the aforementioned OS. This has been made known by a user on Reddit, who opened a thread in which he published a screenshot of the interface, which, as stated, corrects the recognition of fingerprints when the device is lifted and the EIS finally seems to be working, among other things.

There are no further details about this new Android 10 update for the Xiaomi Mi A3. The company has not commented on the matter and did not reveal any relevant information in recent days. However, judging by the screenshot below, we deduce that it is gradually dispersing, so it is possible that your unit has not yet received it, if you own it.

On the other hand, it is possible that it is being offered only and exclusively in the units that have presented operational problems with any of the past updates of Android 10.

The package only weighs about 32 MB, which is nothing compared to the 1.33GB update that arrived last time and is clearly a patch for the latest batch of discovered issues. This size suggests that bug fixes are its main strength, so it would be, more than anything else, a patch that adds optimizations and an increase in the level of security and privacy.
