Much has been said about the arrival of a Xiaomi Mi 9 with 5G connectivity. It seems that the company already has it in development or, rather, it is already ready to be launched, and the latter seems to be the most credible because the terminal was recently approved by China's 3C and, on this occasion, by TENAA , another Chinese regulatory body.
Xiaomi is keeping an eye on 5G networks, and therefore wants to be one of the smartphone manufacturers with the most presence in this segment. That is why it is working on the launch of future mobiles with such connectivity support, and, although 5G coverage is only gradually expanding in only a few countries and cities, it promises a lot in the future, where it will be more attractive than now, when it is not very feasible to acquire a 5G terminal.
The Xiaomi Mi 9 5G -called Mi 9S by some tipsters- is a bit thicker. In detail, it is 8.95 mm thick, compared to 7.6 mm for the original model. This would be so to accommodate the larger 4.000 mAh battery (3,300 mAh of the current phone) with which it has been leaked. According to the information provided, it has a fast charge of 45 watts, which represents a considerable increase, compared to the 27 watts that the Mi 9 supports.

According to TENAA data, screen size is kept at about 6.39 inches diagonal, but rumors claim that additional updates are also happening, such as a QuadHD + resolution, which would come to replace the FullHD + of the standard model panel.
In addition, Xiaomi is expected to upgrade the chipset to Snapdragon 855+ and add OIS to the main camera on the back. Like the Mi Mix 3 5G, it will have a dual SIM card slot (and dual standby).
