Android Q beta for Xiaomi Mi 9 and Mi Mix 3 5G

Recently, during the annual Google I/O 2019 developer conference, search engine giant Google announced some new features of the upcoming Android Q and also launched its third beta version of this revamped OS.

Google also revealed a list of around 21 partners who will adopt this new version of Android Q. Among them is Xiaomi, which has adopted this new version for the Xiaomi Mi 9 and the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 5G.

Xiaomi Director of Smartphone Software Department Zhang Guoquan shared a image showing the Xiaomi Mi 9 with the new Android Q operating system. It appears that the phone is running the international version of the ROM.

Along with this, the company has also shared a list of bugs that come with Android Q system for the Xiaomi Mi 9 and Mi MIX 3 5G. This is:

  • The alarm does not sound when the device is off.
  • The device restarts after the user selects the wireless projection device on the "wireless screen".
  • The "Settings" application stops running after a user disables the mute shortcut.
  • The "Settings" application stops running when "Gesture" is selected in "Settings".
  • The "File" application stops running after an update.
  • Users may not be able to change the screen color in "Settings".
  • Users may not be able to 'Add a fingerprint'.
  • The default print service stops after the device connects to Wi-Fi to print photos from the gallery.
  • The "Settings" application crashes after selecting "Automatic brightness".

The company also says that there could be more errors present in the system. It has asked users for comments, which can be sent by contacting Xiaomi on its Mi forum.
