Xiaomi getting ahead: the Pocophone F1 will receive Android Q when it launches

Update the Pocophone F1

Recently, Xiaomi announced the final arrival of Android 9.0 Pie to the Pocophone F1. Now, in order not to wait too long, the firm has revealed that the terminal will also receive the update to Android Q, once it is released, of course.

This suggests that the next version of Android will appear next year, contradicting some rumors that indicated the possibility of it being released in 2020.

The confirmation of this fact has been Released via Twitter by Product Manager Jai Mani, a senior manager of the company who usually makes few appearances and statements to the public. The publication reads the following:

Clearly it has to receive Android 9.0 Pie first, which is about to be carried out after a close update that the company will release in the next few days via OTA, through which it is customary. Due to this, we suggest that, when this version is downloaded, the device is well charged and connected to a high-speed Wi-Fi network to avoid data use and finish the process as soon as possible. This version will arrive under the respective MIUI 10 customization layer, while Android Q would arrive with the successor skin of this same, although we can only speculate on that.

Reviewing a little the characteristics and main technical specifications of the Xiaomi Pocophone F1, we find that it has a 6.18-inch diagonal FullHD + screen under the 19: 9 display format with a notch in its design, a Snapdragon 845 processor together with an Adreno 630 GPU, 6 or 8 GB of RAM and 64 / 128/256 GB of internal storage space.
