The best of the Weimei We Plus

We thoroughly tested the Weimei We Plus

How can you see in the extensive video review of more than 35 minutes in which I show you everything interesting that this sensational Android terminal of Spanish origin offers us, this Weimei WePlus not only stands out for its Integrated hardware at the price and what can be expected from quality components, it does not do so from its finishes and design to match, and that they have nothing to envy to the so-called flagships of the big manufacturers of Android smartphones.

Where the really stands out Weimei WePlus, It is in the tremendous performance that this combination of materials and Premium finishes offers us, combined with quality hardware components that are tuned to perfection, thanks in large part to its sensational operating system of its own, that is, based on Android Lollipop and that they have already confirmed an update to Android 6.0 Marsmallow, which under the name of WeOS offers us a new Android experience thanks to one of the best layers of personalization that I had never seen before on an Android terminal and where functionality and performance prevail, all without losing applications or our own functions that will make us fall in love from the first moment we press the Power button of the Weimei We Plus.

We thoroughly tested the Weimei We Plus

As for the its sensational SuperAMOLED screen that, although it remains in a resolution HD 1280 x 720 pixels which for many users may seem insufficient. According to my personal opinion and the user experience that I have personally lived with this Android terminal, I think that it is a more than successful resolution that gives us a very good experience in terms of reading or playing multimedia content and games, without reaching that if, to bleed the autonomy of the battery as a screen with FullHD resolution or higher resolutions that are becoming so fashionable lately and that so many autonomy problems are causing the terminals that have them integrated would do.

As regards its 1,3 Ghz eight-core Mediatek processor, its Mali T720 GPU and its more than enough 3 Gb of RAM memory, these are more than enough technical specifications, more than enough I would say, to move the HD quality of the SuperAMOLED screen and the version of Android 5.1 Lollipop that initially comes standard with the Weimei WePlus, and I mean serial, since we have been officially confirmed that They are already working on the new version of WeOS with Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

We thoroughly tested the Weimei We Plus

To end all the good that the Weimei We Plus offers us, I leave you in this kind of information box that you see below these lines, where I attach all the characteristics or functionalities for which this sensational stands out. Android smartphone with Spanish flavor.

The worst of the Weimei We Plus

We thoroughly tested the Weimei We Plus

Rarely have I been in the position of having to put so much effort into finding something negative about one of the many Android terminals that I analyze here on Androidsis, and this is what happened to me when exploring the technical specifications and performance that this Weimei We Plus has offered me, which, for me, is a terminal of the most balanced that I have had the pleasure of testing personally. Although for putting some other hits, and not being able to pull anything negative that I have found, I have decided to comment as negative some of the functionalities or specifications that could have been standard and, unfortunately, they are not installed in this Weimei We Plus.

We thoroughly tested the Weimei We Plus

One of the functionalities that this Weimei We Plus could have included and which are specifications that most Android users demand, is without a doubt the absence of a fingerprint reader, something that is fashionable lately but that I personally do not just care too much about the absence of it.

We thoroughly tested the Weimei We Plus

On the other hand and to end what could have been the perfect Weimei We Plus, although I have already told you that for me the SuperAMOLED screen with HD quality is more than enough, many Android users look for screens with a minimum resolution of, so less X, or what is the same, a screen with FullHD resolution at least.

Cons

  • Does not have NFC
  • Screen stays in HD resolution
  • Fixed non-removable battery

Another Chinese mobile with a European price, like BQ, the only thing they provide is an ineffective 2-year warranty. The Ecoo e04 is very similar and costs 75% less.

For example, you have not seen the screen of this mobile or noticed its Premium finishes or used it on a day-to-day basis and have seen the performance it offers.
I reaffirm myself in saying that it is one of the best mid-range mobiles that I have had the great pleasure of testing and that I have enjoyed like a dwarf with its WeOS customization layer, its own apps or functionalities that it comes with as standard.

      Greetings friend.

    Hello Francisco,

Don't take it the wrong way, I really like your reviews. But in this case I don't agree with you. Apart from the finish, which I don't doubt is good, this processor, like the Ecoo, which I did have, has heating problems and the camera is not up to the price either. The screen resolution, although it is supermoled, is not FullHD and that clearly, at 5.5, helps in battery life but it is still in the mid-range more than in the mid-high.
I keep insisting that the price is not justified. I think the Redmi note 3, except but the guarantee, costs € 100 less and is a better option.
    regards

Hello Luis, I would never take it the wrong way, the fact is that this processor does not heat up at all in this terminal for the simple fact that they have lowered the maximum clock speed to 1,3 Ghz instead of 1.5 Ghz. On the other hand, I have taken the redmi note 3 for more than a month and a half and if you give me a choice, I will stay with this one without hesitation.
I assure you that if you could prove it thoroughly, you would agree with me.

      Regards my friend.

In that price range I would have dispensed with the usb-c and demanded FullHD (unforgivable), a fingerprint reader and a Snapdragon 808 or a Helio X10.

As for the terminals that you indicate to me, the Huawei P8 is clearly better in every way except in the personalization layer that I prefer this WeOS that has fallen in love with me from the beginning, what's more, the first thing I always do when trying a new Android is to install Google Now Launcher and in this Weimei We Plus I continue with its original Launcher that I have not thought about changing it even for a single moment.
As for the BQ, I have not been able to test it so I refrain from giving you my personal opinion. For example, if I have tried the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, the 3 Gb of RAM model and this Weimwei We Plus gives you cane in every way, performance, screen quality, RAM management or even battery life. .

      Greetings friend.
