The best of the UMI Touch

We thoroughly tested the UMI Touch. A good Android terminal for just 140 euros

Among the best that we can highlight of this UMI Touch that I have had the pleasure of testing for about a week, we can highlight several things:

IPS screen with FullHD resolution

We thoroughly tested the UMI Touch. A good Android terminal for just 140 euros

One of the things to highlight about the UMI Touch is without a doubt the FullHD resolution and the quality of its 5,5 ″ screen diagonal. A screen in which the maximum and minimum brightness are more than correct and where very real colors are shown without over-saturating them.

A screen that is difficult to find in terminals of this price range and that is appreciated for the inclusion in the UMI Touch.

Processor and RAM

We thoroughly tested the UMI Touch. A good Android terminal for just 140 euros

As for the MT6753 processor and its more than 3 Gb RAM memory, they form a perfect combination to move with real ease the Android 6.0 operating system With which the UMI Touch comes standard and give us a very good user experience, even using heavy applications and games, allowing us to perfectly use Android multitasking.

Fingerprint reader

We thoroughly tested the UMI Touch. A good Android terminal for just 140 euros

If in addition to being difficult to find for this price a terminal with a 5,5 ″ FullHD screen, we add the one that includes a sensational fingerprint reader on the Home button, Things get more than complicated to find a similar terminal, which we can find in the UMI Touch and that also works spectacularly, being one of the best fingerprint sensors that I have had the pleasure of testing personally.

Pros

  • Sensational finishes
  • IPS FullHD screen
  • 3 Gb of RAM
  • Fingerprint reader
  • MicroSD support
  • Great autonomy

The worst of the UMI Touch

The touch of the IPS screen

We thoroughly tested the UMI Touch. A good Android terminal for just 140 euros

Although it seems a contradiction, within the worst of the UMI Touch we also have to include the terminal screen, although this time focusing on the tactile experience that it offers us. If in terms of resolution, brightness and colors it is a more than interesting screen, in terms of touch, at least until we get used to it, it is not one of the best experiences I have had with an Android terminal.

Although the tactile experience for normal use of the terminal is more than acceptable, with normal use I mean browsing the Internet, consulting our social networks, sending messages and making calls. What concerns to the touch experience when playing Android games is quite slow and lazy and it costs us a little more than necessary to get hold of it.

A somewhat high weight for the dimensions of the terminal

We thoroughly tested the UMI Touch. A good Android terminal for just 140 euros

Although I would not put this as a negative thing, it must be taken into account that this terminal has a total weight of 190 grams, a weight somewhat above the average which is due to its large built-in 4000 mAh battery that will allow us an autonomy of about two days of use for a normal Android user with an autonomy of around six / six and a half hours of activated screen.

Cons

  • Touch somewhat lazy in games
  • Cameras in low light conditions
  • Weight :

Francisco, I have read your comment and opinion about this Smart, I have acquired it via Amazon, many people beat this terminal with sticks, but I realized that they have tried it in their own hands, you have done it; and I think I made a good choice; I will receive it only on May 10 and good to wait it has been said. Greetings from Paraguay, Asunción.

Let's see friend, I don't like to fool anyone and I always test the terminals that I review, although I also tell you to be honest with you and with everyone, as I always say in my reviews both in the article written in Androidsis like in the video Androidsisvideo, I always compare them with terminals of the same price range, as is logical and of course, if we compare it with a Samsung Galaxy S7, an LG G5 or a Huawei P9 the comparison would not be fair since this terminal is infinitely lower of those high-end terminals.
That is why when I say that it is a very good terminal for an average Android user, the user who wants to be communicated via social networks, call and send SMS messages, surf the Internet, play games casually, listen to music or take moderately worthy photos. , there, and comparing it with terminals of the same price, that is, about 140 euros, it is one of the best terminals that I have been able to test in all the senses that I comment on in the video and article.

Greetings friend and do not worry that you have made a good purchase.

Thank you very much for commenting on the screen hours! Normally the general duration is commented in hours or even days, but the hours of the screen is really the most important data ... It is appreciated! 🙂

    Hello,
I have this terminal, for a little over a week, and well, I had many expectations on it, especially on the battery issue, and well, there are some things that I did not like, and that I do not share with the author of this review .. I comment:
Physically the terminal is very good, it has packaging, well built, beautiful ... but I will comment on what I did not like:
The screen, I find that it does not have the brightness that it should have. I have compared it with my old Elephone P2000, and with my partner's Leagoo Elite 5, and honestly, although the UMI has Full HD, I do not see the difference between HD and Full HD, and the brightness is much better in the Leagoo Elite 5, for example, which is not in the UMI. Later, the fingerprint sensor fails me a lot, I have recorded my fingerprint three times, in various positions, and it is rare that with putting my finger once, the phone is unlocked, I have to do two and even three attempts.
Another thing that I do not see at all well, and that goes very against the terminal, is the duration of the battery. No calls, (I hardly ever make any) just with a few whats, and little else, the battery lasts just 36 hours, maybe a tad more. Looking at which applications consume the most, I see that Wi-Fi consumes the most. Looking on the internet, I see that this is a problem with the OS, that is, Android 6, but it is something that UMI should have optimized, or else, having installed the android lollipop, Sometimes installing the latter does not give good results ... The leagoo elite 5, also has a 4000 battery, and lasts three days quietly. (has android lollipop)
Anyway, despite this, I still recommend buying this umi touch, it is worth the failures, because of how beautiful and how good this terminal feels in your hand.
About the weight? for me it is correct .. I even like it .. because the ones that weigh a little give me the feeling of a toy.
    Thanks and best regards,

My experience with this Smartphone after a month of use is not the best, I had very good expectations mainly due to its technical characteristics. First of all, the terminal overheats, becoming a nuisance when the conversation is long. On the other hand I have the same problem as the colleague from the previous comment with the fingerprint detector. The screen already has some whitish spots. The weight is higher than any other terminal I have had in hand. The touchscreen leaves much to be desired compared for example with an old lg nexus 5 of which I have a very good opinion although its technical characteristics are inferior. Anyway I decide to change the terminal, shuffling the xiaomi redmi note pro.

blackview r7 with the curved side frame, it has to sit very well in the hand. For $ 179.99 it is impossible to find a terminal with those characteristics, my god, 4GB of RAM, no more having to close applications and reopen them.
The battery, if the system is well optimized as it usually happens with Blackview terminals, we are assured of very good consumption.

Good morning . It has let me down quite a bit. There is a video that indicates that if you hit the screen with a hammer (several times) the terminal continues to work. Well, it is false. Not with a hammer or a needle. Seme fell to the ground, from a normal room, no stone, rock, water, a line was made on the screen and…. the phone ran out. I recognize that it fell to me, my fault and such, but that they sell it to me saying that it has a strong screen…. The technical servant, very nice that yes, he told me that nobody ensures that the screen does not break. And it is true, what it does ensure is that by hitting it hard the terminal continues to work. The battery, as it lasts the same as the other mobiles I have had, 24/36 hours, at most. the 13 mpx. of the camera are fine, but try a photo on some written paper, they all come out blurry. I said, they don't catch me anymore
