ZTE Blade S6 Plus, we tested the new phablet of the Asian manufacturer

ZTE has brought a few toys to this edition of the Mobile World Congress. We have already had the opportunity to test the ZTE Blade S6, a terminal that has left us with very good feelings.

Now it is the turn of the ZTE Blade S6 Plus, a phablet with technical characteristics very similar to those of its younger brother and that should not cost more than 300 euros.

Integrated

With measurements of 156 x 78 x 8 mm and despite having a 5.5-inch screen, the ZTE Blade S6 Plus is a fairly manageable terminal. Its design, very similar to that of Apple terminals, is beautiful.

The Asian manufacturer has made the most of this new terminal, opting to use plastic as a construction material for the body of the phone. Though the feel of the device is pleasant, it shows that it is not a premium terminal.

Benefits

The ZTE Blade S6 Plus uses the same processor and RAM as its younger brother. In this way we find an SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 eight-core and 64-bit architecture that, together with its 2 GB of RAM, offer more than enough performance.

In addition, despite using Android 5.0 As an operating system, the Asian giant has integrated its own custom layer, a simple and intuitive interface that helps the phone work properly.

The big surprise comes with its internal memory. And it is that although the S6 comes with 16 GB, the ZTE Blade S6 Plus arrives with only 8 GB of internal storage. Although it is true that its micro SD card slot allows you to expand the memory up to 128 GB, it seems to me a huge mistake that a terminal of these characteristics comes with so little space, especially if we take into account that its younger brother has twice the memory ROM.

Finally we have a 3.000 mAh battery that, seeing the technical characteristics of the ZTE Blade S6 Plus, it will be more than enough to support all the hardware of this new device.

Camera

The main camera of the ZTE Blade S6 Plus consists of a 13 megapixel lens with Auto Focus and LED flash. The tests we have carried out make it clear that the lens of the new Chinese phablet is quite powerful.

Although the guys at ZTE have not confirmed this data, we are sure that Sony will have been in charge of this increasingly important element in a phone. We can't forget about your 5 megapixel front camera. 

Price and release date

We do not know the date or the launch price of the ZTE Blade S6 Plus, although we hope that it will arrive throughout the first half of this year and at a price that It should not exceed 350 euros.
