When the Korean manufacturer presented the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, many of us expected Samsung to present a version with a curved screen. So it was. The SSamsung Galaxy Note Edge, a device with the same characteristics as the Note 4, but with a curved side of the screen.
We have been able to test this curious device and the truth is that, at least, Samsung has innovated a lot by incorporating that curved side. Although in exchange his 5.6 inch is slightly smaller than the Note 4.
An attractive and groundbreaking design
When you pick up the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, you notice the same quality finishes that the new Korean phablet with curved screen exudes from all its pores. Its polycarbonate body, with aluminum frames, give the device a very premium look.
Despite its measurements, 151,3 mm high, 82,4 mm long and 8,3 mm wide and its 174 grams of weight, the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge is still a handy terminal, yes, you have to pick up the phone with your right hand.
As I am left-handed, I have noticed that I have to use both hands to take advantage of the possibilities offered by its curved side, while if I pick up the phone with the other hand I can use your thumb to access the different options.

Its curved side, called Revolving UX, allows us to access seven individual panels through which we can navigate regardless of the application we have on the rest of the screen. As you can see in the video, the possibilities are very varied, from activating the playback controls to seeing how many steps you have taken. And keep in mind that as developers create new apps that support curved side, the functionality of Revolving UX will progressively increase.
It seems that Spain will be the country chosen by Samsung to start the journey of the Note Edge in Europe. We still do not know its exact launch date or its price but, considering that the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will cost around 749 euros, we can expect that the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge will cost between 800 and 950 euros.
Is Samsung right with this device? I think so. Regardless of whether you like its design more or less, no one can deny that it surprises. And Samsung hadn't been surprising for too long.
