At the last edition of CES, the guys from Huawei presented us with the Huawei Ascend Mate 2, a device that will have two models, one 3G and the other 4G. Until now we knew that the 4G model will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor.
The Asian company had not revealed which processor the Huawei ascend Mate 2 would incorporate. But we can already confirm that this model will have a Hisilicon V9R1 quad-core processor at 1.6GHz power.
In addition to the president of Huawei, Richard Yu, has confirmed that they are preparing an eight-core processor that will see the light later this year. Returning to the Huawei Ascend Mate 2, both models will have the same specifications: 6.1-inch screen, 13-megapixel camera, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.
With this smartphone Huawei wants to continue competing in the phablet market, a niche that does not stop growing. Personally, it seems exaggerated to have a smartphone of this size, but if you use it to work on the Huawei ascend Mate 2 it is a very interesting option to consider. More if we take into account its price, which I do not think will exceed 500 euros.
