Video calling is getting closer to WhatsApp in beta form

WhatsApp

WhatsApp continues to integrate new features to improve its online messaging service and yesterday we learned that it is working on a desktop version, both for Windows and Mac, so that we can communicate from our computer with a native client. Something that we miss, why fool ourselves, even if we have that web version a little short on features.

Finally, it seems that the next beta of WhatsApp will include the ability to make video calls with a contact via a video call icon. This feature, present in other apps, is known thanks to a leak that shows even the screenshots with this new ability that we have heard previously on a few occasions.

WhatsApp is also looking for a way to be compared to other apps, such as Skype or Hangouts, which offer video calls as one of their main functionalities, although it is in the first one that is usually used normally for this kind of functionality.

Those screenshots supplied are from the iOS version and seem to indicate that in the next beta of the application video calls will be entered. Do not worry, because Android will also receive this feature, although a little later than iOS. In any case, it is a good indicator to be attentive to the betas that are arriving, since in some of them the video call could finally be incorporated in order to be in visual communication with our family and friends.

Apart from this great novelty, it is also known that ZIP files will soon be able to be sent through the messages we have with the contacts and even the ability to enable the answering machine. That answering machine will take care of answering with the Voicemail for calls that we receive from the service. Now we only have to wait a bit to have these new capabilities in our WhatsApp.
