Twitch clips have started to hit YouTube

YouTube Android

That Twitch is the queen of video game streaming platforms absolutely no one can deny it. Little by little, the YouTubers who became famous thanks to YouTube have been switching to Twitch to do their live shows, keeping their YouTube channels only to publish videos, not live.

One of the most popular features on Twitch is clips, video captures that users can take of the direct ones they like the most to later share through the creator's channel, their account or on other social networks through a simple link. This feature has become available on YouTube.

According to Ryan Wyatt, one of the managers of the YouTube gaming section, due to popular demand, have begun to implement the Clips function, a function that is exactly the same that we can find on Twitch practically since its birth.

This function, which is currently is available on a small number of streamers, is available both in videos and live streams and allows users to create videos from 5 to 60 seconds to share through a link, with a code on web pages, by email ...

These little cutouts are associated with the original video, so they don't really generate a new video. In this way, if the original content is removed, the clip will also become unavailable, since it does not have a source.

At the moment, this function is only available on the YouTube desktop version and in the Android app. IOS users will have to wait, something quite unusual when we talk about new functions that Google adds.
