Samsung's reputation falls to historic levels in the United States

We will not speak again about the crisis experienced by the South Korean company last year, it is a topic that has already been talked about a lot, about which we already know the exact causes, and about which we all have our own opinion. But it is evident that the Galaxy Note 7 disaster directly affected Samsung's reputation and prestige throughout the world, and that the trust of its customers, even the most loyal ones, has seen you touched.

Now, a recent statistical study illustrates and puts on the table how far Samsung's loss of prestige in the United States has reached, and the result is nothing, but nothing good for the company.

The report "2017 Reputation Quotient Ratings Harris Poll" reveals that Samsung's reputation has suffered the biggest drop in recent years in the United States.

Of the hundred companies that appear in this survey, Samsung comes in at number 49. If we compare the results of this year with those of the previous year, it turns out that Samsung's reputation in the United States has fallen 46 points, going from position 3, even ahead of Apple and Google, to that position 49.

The reputation quotient of the poll compiled by Harris is obtained from surveys of the general public regarding the reputations of the most visible companies in the United States. About 2,3 million US consumers participated in this survey in which a score of attributes organized into six categories of corporate reputation are evaluated, such as financial performance, work environment, vision and leadership, social responsibility, emotional appeal, products and services.

Samsung's reputation has suffered a severe blow due to the failure of the Galaxy Note 7 and the recent legal problems of Lee Jae-yong, jailed last week on charges of bribery.
