Popular Swype keyboard is no longer supported

The keyboard has always been a fundamental part of being able to interact with the device. Since the launch of Google's keyboard, Gboard, this has become in a preference for many users, although not for everyone, since Swype was still a reference in this sector, at least now.

The developer of the popular keyboard Swype has announced that it has stopped offering updates For this application in its version for Android, it seems that the version for iOS for now will continue to receive support, but we do not know for how long. According to Nuance, developer of this keyboard, wants to focus its efforts on artificial intelligence and its implementation in companies.

Swype arrived at the Play Store in 2010, and since then it has become a reference, maintaining its leadership position throughout these years. Fortunately, in the Google app store we can find other alternatives, although of course and as happens when we change the physical keyboard of our equipment, a change has a "mental" cost that will cost some users more or less, but the best we can do is start changing now of keyboard, but we want that through the keyboard we can introduce some type of malicious software, which is what happens when an application stops updating, since it does not adapt to the new security risks that appear.

Alternatives to Swype

SwiftKey is another of the classics in the world of keyboards, being the natural successor to Swype, although in recent years it has managed to do its job quite well and the number of customization options and possibilities has expanded considerably.
