The Nokia 7 Plus will receive Android Pie in September

Nokia 7 Plus

Yesterday we echoed the news that came to us from South Africa, where a company spokesperson stated that the Huawei P20, in all its variants, would receive Android Pie throughout the month of September, without confirming an approximate date, although many are the media claiming it probably will throughout the first week, within the framework of the IFA held in Berlin.

But it seems that is not the only manufacturer who has wanted to get the batteries to adopt Android Pie as soon as possible, since the Finnish firm, at least in part, Nokia, has also announced that one of its representative terminals this year, the Nokia 7 Plus, will also receive Android Pie to throughout the month of September.

The Nokia 7 Plus has been one of the 7 third-party terminals that has been part of the Android beta program Floor receiving earlier this month, the fourth beta of Android Pie. From HMD Global, who is responsible for the manufacture of the terminals, they are giving the final touches to the next Android update.

Juho Sarvikas, HMD Product Manager, stated at a press event in New Delhi that The Nokia 7 Plus will be the first terminal of the company to receive Android Pie, an update that will arrive in September and that incidentally will make this terminal the first smartphone managed by the Snapdragon 660 to receive it.

For now, the company has only mentioned the Nokia 7 Plus, one of the terminals with the best value for money currently offered by the company in the market, hence it has focused on updating it as soon as possible. We have no news about the rest of the range, but taking into account that these terminals barely have a personalization layer, the waiting time should not be very high.
