Yesterday was the day when a new era began for Google with the launch of Pixel, his big bet for the future that will mark other lines and objectives to try to take ahead to the high range and, incidentally, to Samsung and Apple. When the Pixel brand appears on the first smartphone designed by Google, the Nexus family is not going to the background, but it will disappear.
At the Google event, there was no talk at any time of a Huawei Nexus 7P with Andromeda, a device that would rather be called Pixel XXL or something similar. So we can already say that the Nexus family will no longer have any new members, and those 5X and 6P they will be the last we see as a series that was rather a test bed for all those Pixels that await us soon.
If we have known for a while that Google has among its ranks a new vice president for product development, long-term strategies and more projects to come, to various media, yesterday those of Mountain View confirmed that the Nexus pass away.
Some Nexus that have served to devise in a better way what Android has been in recent times with all kinds of luck and setbacks. The truth is that those Nexus 4 and 5, the Nexus 7 tablets or the last 5X and 6P, have been fitting the needs and tastes of hundreds of thousands of users around the world. A perfect bomb field both for Android and for third-party developers who were able to create custom ROMs and better design their apps with the latest Google OS.
Those who we have at some point passed through some Nexus, it will still remain in our memory or on our shelf as a collector's item (that first Nexus 7 with its box is still well stored there)
