As Huawei had announced a few days ago, the new Nova 8 SE is official today. This smartphone comes as a mid-range smartphone with some interesting features and technical specifications that we will fully describe below.
Something worth highlighting first of all is the fast charging technology with which the huge battery of this mobile is compatible. Another interesting aspect of this terminal is that it is offered in two variants, which differ by having two different Mediatek processor chipsets.
Features and technical specifications of the Huawei Nova 8 SE
The first thing we come across in Huawei's Nova 8 SE is its screen, which is OLED technology and has a diagonal of 6.53 inches. The resolution that this produces is FullHD + of 2.400 x 1.080 pixels. The refresh rate of this is 60 Hz, the standard; A rate of 90 Hz would have been much better, at least, but it is what it is. Here it should also be mentioned that there is a notch in the shape of a drop of water and extremely reduced bezels.
With this smartphone we have a RAM of the LPDDR4X type and an internal storage space of 128 GB UFS 2.1. Besides, the Nova 8 SE can be found with a Dimensity 720 SoC or a Dimensity 800Both from Mediatek running at a maximum clock frequency of 2.0 GHz, although due to its core configuration the latter is more powerful.
The battery underneath this mobile has a capacity of 3.800 mAh and it is compatible with 66W fast charging technology. Charging is through a USB-C port and is completed in less than an hour. The battery helps that the thickness of the phone is 7.46 mm and the weight of about 178 grams.
On the other hand, with regard to the photographic section, there is a quadruple combo located on the back, which mainly consists of 48 MP with aperture f / 1.9, an 8 MP wide-angle camera with aperture f / 2.4, a sensor of 2 MP with f / 2.4 aperture and a 2 MP macro shooter with f / 2.4 aperture. These sensors are housed in a module that reminds us of the iPhone 12, as it is square and is located in the upper left corner of the rear panel. The front camera, meanwhile, is 16 MP resolution.
The new smartphone also supports 5G SA / NSA connectivity and comes with ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.1. Besides, it has a fingerprint reader integrated into the screen, which is due to the fact that this is OLED technology; remember that IPS LCD panels do not support this biometric unlocking system.
