Lately, Samsung has decided that Barcelona is the perfect setting to present its flagships. They already did it with the Samsung Galaxy S5 and the S6 and S6 Edge. The manufacturer took advantage of the pull that Mobile World Congress has to present the best mobile phone manufactured by them to the press and public attendees.
However, there are rumors that suggest that the seventh version of the Galaxy will be presented at the beginning of the year, specifically during the month of January, therefore, Samsung would not present its new terminals during MWC16 since this event is held during from February 22 to 25.
Galaxy S7 More
We have seen some rumors about the future device such as, for example, that the S7 will come with the new USB-C port, a port that will be standard from the next few years and we will see it in all devices, just as we now see the micro-USB port. Continuing with the Galaxy S7, there is talk that the device could incorporate a novelty never seen to date in the mobile market, a folding screen.
According to the latest rumors, Samsung could incorporate its folding screens to the Galaxy S7, this would be the great novelty of the terminal. Thus, they would no longer be curved screens like the one that the Galaxy S6 Edge incorporates, but the screen would be completely foldable, something that we have seen previously, but that we have not seen in any smartphone.
On the other hand, there is talk that three versions will probably hit the market, a normal Galaxy S7, a Galaxy S7 Edge with a curved screen and a Galaxy S7 with a folding screen. Both terminals would exceed the size of 5 inches. There will also be a Plus version, which will be launched later, as has happened with the new Galaxy S6 Plus and S6 Edge Plus.
Regarding the standard version, it is said that it will incorporate a port USB-C, screen Super AMOLED with 4K resolution, Exynos own processor, although there are sources that indicate that Samsung could incorporate Qualcomm processors again, so it would not be strange if it incorporated the Snapdragon 820. There is also talk that the device could incorporate a microSD card slot, 4 GB RAM memory, Samsung Pay and, a long list of news.
