It has been losing weight in recent years with the launch of its phones, despite this the Japanese company plans to launch several devices throughout this 2020. Sony knows the need to continue in the difficult market of smartphones and for this it wants introduce one with several new features.
The latest leaks through renders talk about a revision of the Xperia 5, at the same time I would call it Sony Xperia 5 Plus and it would have a checkered design. The experience of the firm suggests having a greater grip than the devices with edges, it is the case of seeing many of them of the same style.
Specifications
En the render the Xperia 5 Plus shows a 6.6-inch OLED screen, with slimmer bezels on both the bottom and top. The model incorporates two front speakers and a thickness of just 8,1 mm, all without counting the sensors added by the brand.
This review adds the power button just on the right side, the fingerprint reader is not missing either, as well as the volume buttons. Already on the left side is the SIM slot, below the USB-C port and it mounts a 3,5 mm connector, something that the Xperia 5 lacks.
In the sensors section, Sony bets on an 8 megapixel selfie camera, it is not the strong point of this terminal and it falls short for current times. At the rear you can see a quad camera with a TOF unit and it is unknown what the megapixels of each lens will be.
The Sony Xperia 5 Plus aims to bring on board Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor, the previous one had the Snapdragon 855. It aims to be announced during the next technology events of 2020 in which there will be quite a lot of news regarding the mobile phone market.
