The first generation of the Galaxy Fold hit the market with a number of features / limitations that apparently they didn't make any sense. One of them, we found it in the inability to use the external screen as a camera viewfinder.
Fortunately, according to the latest rumors related to the second-generation Galaxy Fold, this handicap has been solved and users will be able to make use of the device's cameras without having to open it, as the outer screen will function as a viewfinder.
This new generation will include an exterior screen 2 inches larger than the original Fold, reaching 6,23 inches, practically the same screen size that we can find in any smartphone today.
According to Max Winebach, the One UI version that we are going to find in the second generation of the Fold range will be number 2.5. This may mean that with a simple software update, the possibility of being able to use the external camera from the external display is also possible in the first generation.
The Galaxy Z Flip already offers us this option, although the size of the exterior screen is not the most appropriate to check if the capture we have made is correct. Another novelty of this second generation, we will find it in the notch of the interior screen, notch that will disappear giving rise to a small frontal hole on one side of the screen.
The presentation of the Galaxy Fold 2 is scheduled for August 5, at the same presentation event of the Galaxy Note 20 and where the 5G version of the Galaxy Z Flip will probably also be launched, the new Galaxy Buds Live and the new Galaxy Tab 7, a high-end tablet that hits the market to replace the Galaxy Tab 6.
