Samsung's dark mode with One UI automatically activates dark mode in Android Auto

Android Auto

On many occasions we have talked about advantages offered by the dark theme which include some applications, a theme that allows us to save a large amount of battery as long as the interface uses black, and that our terminal has a screen with OLED technology.

OLED screens only use the LEDs necessary to display colors other than black, so if the interface, which is usually white and occupies a large part of the screen, is black, battery consumption is greatly reduced. Samsung through One UI gives us a hand with the dark mode if we have a vehicle compatible with Android Auto.

The new Samsung One user interface with Android Pie, offers us a dark mode, a dark mode that allows the entire system, menus and applications of the Korean company to show us a black background. However, some other applications such as Messenger and Slack do not activate automatically, a function that they should work on to make it work automatically.

However, Android Auto does. If we activate the dark mode on our Samsung smartphone with One UI, Android Auto will start showing dark mode on the interface automatically. For some reason Samsung named this mode as Dark Mode. The problem is that if we have this display mode activated during the day, the Android Auto interface will also be dark, which can make it difficult to see in broad daylight.

However, it is appreciated when the sun has already fallen, since the bright colors that the normal mode shows us, which we must use during the day, are a nuisance that can cause some other problem when driving at night. Apparently to force dark mode through developer settings does not solve this problem The only solution for the moment being to change the interface of the entire device before driving.
