Opera browser integrates a VPN in its latest update

Opera free VPN

Privacy has become a priority for many users, although we see how the social network Facebook continues to increase the number of users, quarter after quarter, it does not give that feeling. VPNs allow us not leave a trace of the visits we make through our device, since we do not use our IP, but a random one provided by the corresponding application.

Opera launched Opera VPN, a browser-independent service that offered us a paid VPN service. Two years, in 2018, he later decided to withdraw it from the market. A year later the multiplatform browser Opera has just announced the launch of a sCompletely free VPN service integrated into the browser itself.

This function, which was already available through the different betas that Opera had launched before the final version, allows us to protect our browsing without having to resort to third-party applications, third-party applications that allow us to hide our trace, but in return they store all the browsing history, something that Opera says they do not do.

The operation of this service is very simple, since we only have to select the continent from which we want to use an IP to navigate. Other VPNs allow us to establish the country from which we want to navigate, but they are not free like the one offered by Opera with this latest update.

VPNs allow us to navigate in a completely secure way, since when using encrypted data it is very difficult, if not impossible, to decrypt that information as well as do not log activity, something that if some free VPN services do as I mentioned above.

If you do not want to change your browser, you can use other alternatives that are integrated into the system such as NordVPN or IPVanish, two excellent options that maintain our privacy, for something they are paid.
