TCL brings you this 17,3 ″ screen with Amazon Alexa and Android in the same pack

TCL Xess

Alcatel recently introduced an Android device, which was basically a gigantic 17,3-inch tablet Due to its weight, it did not encourage people to move it a lot, but rather to leave it on the table in the living room of the house so that the family could play with that huge screen.

The Xess was scheduled to be sold in April, but it is now when it appears on Amazon to be purchased. The only thing that does it from another name: TCL. It is the same Xess from before, but with a rather striking change, it has inside the Amazon Alexa virtual assistance.

This gigantic tablet has tried to be sold as a smart hub for the same family, whether for entertainment, work or those moments when one wants to be a master chef in the kitchen. It is now when it is being sold as a device that has Alexa, Amazon's virtual assistant that is competing against Google Home.

The curious thing about this case is that Alcatel has not made it very clear what is the android version that Xess has. It was soon revealed that it is a spin off of Phoenix OS, as with Remix OS, which gives it an approximation to a desktop-like interface (try this app if you want something similar). From the screenshots we can find that interface, but where it stands out is in the interaction with Alexa.

In terms of its specifications, the TCL Xess is a product with a MediaTek octa-core chip clocked at 1.5 GHz, 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage, expandable via micro SD card. The 17,3-inch touchscreen stays at 1080p resolution. They finish off their specs with dual 3-watt JBL speakers.

It costs $ 500 on Amazon. In the package you can even find a IP camera which will turn the screen into a monitoring device.

I see very good specifications and above all a very attractive hardware format for those of us who like to use the tablet more for family life.
