When using a navigation system in a vehicle whose multimedia system is managed by Android Auto we have two options: Google Maps and Waze (also from Google). Well, we had two options, since the last one was has joined the party is Sygic, one of the oldest browsers on the market.
At the beginning of December, Sygic launched a beta of this new version for registered users. Some of the users who have access to it have published some images of it on Reddit where we can see one new user interface adapted to the screens of these devices and much better optimized than we could find it in the mobile version.
As we can see in the images, the interface is simple and shows just the right information and necessary to avoid distracting the driver with unnecessary superfluous information.
Moment we do not know when this update will be ready for all users, but if we take into account that the betas usually have a very short route, it is most likely that they will launch on the market before the end of the year, although with the movement limitations that we are suffering from the coronavirus, the best they can do is adjust the final version so that it works perfectly and without any problems.
It has been almost a year since Google announced that would allow the support of third-party applications within the navigation category in Android Auto, so although they have taken a while to adapt it, it will be the first and hopefully not the last.
Sygic is available for download completely free of charge and integrates a series of in-app purchases to get the most out of it, purchases ranging from 0,69 euros to 54,99 euros.
