Casual, Casual Game, Ketchapp Games
We return to the load with Ketchapp Games and another of those games simple, straightforward and casual They make us have a lot of fun. I already made this video about the 15 best Ketchapp games in which I indicate which are the best from my point of view. And the truth is that we are talking about one of the studios that publishes the most video games in the Google Play Store so that every week we almost have a new one, if not there are up to two. The rules for publishing a Ketchapp game are very simple and must have a good balance in terms of graphics, sound and gameplay. If it meets these three elements, we will see it available for free with that freemium model in the Google Play Store.
Stony Road is his new casual video game that, like so many others, try to get past frills to focus on the gameplay a bit complicated. This time the guys at Ketchapp Games have decided that they do not want an easy game, and from the first jump you take with the ball, which we almost became, we will realize that we must be able to almost fall into the abyss to be able to perform that double jump that will allow us to reach that platform. One of the most striking aspects of Stony Road is the way in which the obstacles fall or disappear, since it will be those stones that will transform the journey through which we will explore.
The mysterious stones that disappear before us
The gameplay of the game is very simple and consists of making keystrokes to jump single or double. That said, the complicated thing comes in the precision we have to take to be able to jump those empty holes that appear almost out of nowhere when those mysterious stones are detached. Like those holes, stones will appear out of nowhere that will form all kinds of stairs and obstacles that we must be quick to jump over.
Between the difficulty in gaming and those mysterious stones that are drawing the route, we will find ourselves faced with the randomness of the games and how difficult it can sometimes be to get a good score. Based on my own experience, the moment you manage to pass the first big hole, you will choose to jump and get more points, so take it with a little patience and adjust well when you have to make the final jump.
The ball rolling down those mysterious stones ...
And this is what Stony Road is. We can comment on those different customizations, typical of these short games, but that's the way it is, Stony Road does not give for more than for a casual game in which we will enjoy the wise choice of each of the technical elements to draw a video game that has its charm.
That charm may disappear as the games progress, but simply will hook you for the surprise that it is to have to be attentive to those stones that disappear or appear out of nowhere to form all kinds of structures with which we have to deal with jumps.
Ketchapp Games has again a nice and interesting game for casual games of those minutes in which we want nothing more than something that enters our eyes, hooks us and allows us to close the game without having to wait for the device's RAM to work perfectly.
You have it for free from the Google Play Store with the obvious micropayments.
Technical quality
Stony Road is a game that does gala of a great design visually with a good color palette and a wise choice in the few technical elements it has. It lacks some performance if we have the smartphone in other tasks, something that we miss being a casual game, but otherwise it knows how to play very well with the cards it has.
