Final Fantasy XV again broadens its horizons and was recently announced Final Fantasy XV: Pocket Edition for Android and iOS devices and Windows 10. This news comes shortly after yesterday's announcement of a PC version of Final Fantasy XV.
Announced by Square Enix as part of the event GamesconThe new Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition retells the story of the original game divided into 10 episodes, all of them planned to be launched simultaneously in the application stores. Also, as a bonus, the first episode will be completely free.
The characters will be the same as in the current version of the game, but several important adjustments have been made in other areas of the game, in order to provide a more mobile-friendly style.
The trailer, which you can see a little below, shows several scenes from the original game in a revamped format. Looks like both the gameplay and the combat system will be similar to the original game, although slightly modified and simplified for mobile platforms.
As can be seen in the video, the gameplay was changed to the point of looking like a game Isometric Action RPG, with "casual touch controls optimized for mobile devices", according to the developer.
Square Enix wants this to be a version of Final Fantasy XV that gives players the freedom to venture into Eos "whenever and wherever they want." For now there is no exact release date, except for the period of “fall 2017”, But as soon as the game is available we will surely inform you through our portal.
The new game is the latest in a long series of spin-offs and expansions announced so far since FFXV's debut last year. So far there have been many expansions for its story and there will soon be a new online multiplayer mode. Also, early next year we will see a improved version of FFXV on Windows 10.
