Yesterday our partner Christian b presented the Sony Xperia miro, the new mid-range smartphone of the Japanese giant with which it will try to climb positions in its particular reconquest of the telephone market.
Well, Sony has just presented another phone, the Sony Xperia tipo, a smartphone with technical characteristics that fully introduce it to the mid-range market but with a very interesting singularity since the Xperia tipo supports Dual SIM.
Its technical characteristics do not stand out too much: the Xperia type beats thanks to an 800Mhz processor that allows moving its 3.2-inch touch screen to a maximum resolution of 480 × 320 pixels.
On the other hand, the new Sony smartphone has a RAM of 512 MB in addition to 2.5GB of internal memory, a 3.2 megapixel camera and a 1.500mAh battery. Of course, it should be noted that the Xperia type will come with Ice Cream Sandwich.
Regarding its release date or price, Sony has not released any information although we can expect it to go on sale throughout this summer. Furthermore, if we take into account the price of the Sony Xperia U, which does not exceed 300 euros, it is possible that the Xperia type is around 200 euros.
The issue of dual SIM seems like an excellent idea. Until now there were very few Android devices that had Dual SIM support so I think it is an untapped market. At least the fans of the brand will appreciate it, don't you think?
