Sony brings App to SD support in the new KitKat update for some Xperia

App to SD

One of the pleasant surprises of yesterday regarding the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for the Xperia T2 Ultra and T2 Ultra dual, is that Sony is now giving the possibility for users to move their applications to the SD card, which means that with a 32GB microSD card we can have dozens of games installed on an Xperia, even those that occupy more than 1GB.

An important move on the part of Sony and that nobody expected them to make. For terminals that do not have a storage greater than the high-end, may have the possibility of increasing it with a larger microSD card. In the next updates for the Xperia E1 or Xperia M2 by KitKat, it may contain this App to SD feature. What is not clear is whether the high-end will receive this option, since at the moment it can only be expected from terminals that do not have as much internal memory as the two mentioned.

To be able to activate this feature you must go to Settings> Applications, where you can go to one of the ones you have installed to open them. The "Move to SD card" option should appear to be able to move it to your microSD card. Apart from having this option activated, Sony has integrated another column «On SD Card» to be able to quickly see which apps are installed in the additional memory offered by a micro SD card.

An important functionality that we hope which Sony is launching in all its devices since it offers the possibility of having more apps installed and games, which tend to take up more and more space due to their greater graphic capacity. From 1GB like the Grand Theft Auto series or some online that need a large space in the internal storage to be able to be played on our Android mobile device.
