Some Huawei smartphones recommend deleting the Allo messaging app from Google

Google Allo

More than a year ago, Google announced that Allo, its days were numbered. Allo was the umpteenth attempt by Google to create an alternative to WhatsApp that in turn was the iMessage of iOS, but multiplatform. Result: It went wrong, so Allo headed to the graveyard where Google buries all the projects that do not succeed.

As we can read in Android Authority, some Huawei smartphone users are receiving alerts about the danger posed by Google's Allo application, stating that this could be infected and urging us to remove it from our device as soon as possible.

The application has not been available in the Play Store for a little less than a year. This warning message is being received by users who downloaded the application in their day and who for whatever reason still have it installed despite the fact thatSince March of last year, it has completely stopped working.

Google announced in March 2019 the definitive closure of Google Allo. Since that date, the servers stopped working, so it is not possible to use this application to send messages. Having an application that does not work on our device it's an unnecessary hassle as well as making no sense at all.

But the strangest of all is that the security system that Huawei smartphones integrate suggest that the application may be infected. Anyway, since the app doesn't work, follow the advice of Huawei and delete the application is never too much, since it will allow us to recover a valuable space occupied on our smartphone.

Google is focusing your smartphone messaging efforts at RCS, a protocol that will allow you to send messages, photos or videos to any smartphone for free as long as the operators are willing, who really have the last word.
