Samsung publishes its update list

Although it's been months since Ice Cream Sandwich was released by Google. Only 1% of Android devices enjoy this version.

The main culprit for this delay are the manufacturers, who, because of adapting and customizing the latest version of Android for their Smartphone and Tablets, delay the update date of their devices, counting on your Smartphone or Tablet being able to update.

Samsung has made official the list of devices that will be able to update from Gingerbread to Ice Cream Sandwich during this month (March).

The list he has posted is as follows:

  • GT-I9100 (Galaxy SII)
  • GT-I9103 (Galaxy R)
  • GT-I9210 (Celox, device not marketed in Spain)
  • GT-N7000 (Galaxy Note)
  • GT-P6200 (Galaxy Tab 7.0)
  • GT-P6201 (Galaxy Tab 7.0)
  • GT-P6210 (Galaxy Tab 7.0)
  • GT-P6211 (Galaxy Tab 7.0)
  • GT-P6800 (Galaxy Tab 7.7)
  • GT-P6810 (Galaxy Tab 7.7)
  • GT-P7300 (Galaxy Tab 8.9)
  • GT-P7310 (Galaxy Tab 8.9)
  • GT-P7500 (Galaxy Tab 10.1)
  • GT-P7501 (Galaxy Tab 10.1)
  • GT-P7510 (Galaxy Tab 10.1)
  • GT-P7511 (Galaxy Tab 10.1)
  • GT-P9100P (device not marketed in Spain).

This update will reach free devices of the list.

If your Smartphone or Tablet is on the list and it is free, you are in luck. If it is not free, we will still have to wait for the corresponding operator to release the Android version for our Smartphone or Tablet. Even so, we can always install the official ROM through Odin.

The update will be done via OTA or via KIES.

I do not like the fact that the Samsung Galaxy S (GT-I9000) is not on the list and more so having shown that this device can work very smoothly with this version.

Hopefully this update will not be delayed and that the operators will not delay in publishing their updates.

And the users who have been able and decide to update, is the improvement noticeable? What changes do you notice?

Well, we are already at the end of July and my Galaxy Tab 8.9 still does not have the update available, and that is free. I'm tired of checking via OTA if it has an update and nothing.
        Anyone having the same problem?

        Thank you.

So much so that Android boasted of not leaving its terminals thrown so fast, and I have a 1-year-old phone (Galaxy S) that has been slammed in the face ... in the end they are all the same, the only thing they want is that we have a new phone every year.

If here the problem is with the manufacturer, it is the one that has said that it will not remove it for the Galaxy S. If it were for Google, all devices (or most) would have it.

Never again Samsung, and it leaves me lying with galaxy s and with a 10.1v tablet which is incomprehensible since it has the same hardware practically that the other Samsung 10.1, what a customer service policy

I have a non-official ICS ROM in my Galaxy S, and it is the version of Android with which it works better and more fluently, comparing it with official versions of Eclair, Froyo and Ginger
